Digipack Research

The digipack of an artist is very important when it comes to the marketing of a product, as it reflects the style and tone of the music, alsois because this is the first thing a customer will see and it needs to catch a customers eye but also reflect the image of the artist/band and incorporate and idea about the genre of the music. 






This is an example of a digipack of "Toddla T-Watch Me Dance", imediately you see the use of bright colours on all of the t-shirts, and the disc itself this is done to catch the eye of the audience in a shop. Also the front image shows Toddla T hanging on a clothes line, I think that this is very interesting and will make people want to know about the album more. Toddla T is a producer from Sheffield, and on his album cover he is wearing the clothing brand of another label from Sheffield "Drop Dead" this means that people who perhaps are from Sheffield or are interested in  more northern sounding music, will instantly be drawn to this. Inside the digipack there are photos of t-shirts which relate to all the track titles on the album, a lyric book which gives you an insite into who helped on the album and was featured. Also a note from the artist with his thoughts and thank yous on it, each individual piece of this digipack helps the album to sell in one way or another, also the digipack helps to reflect the light hearted nature of this album.
